Key responsibilities


As a senior member of Next Matter's growth team, you'll co-own and implement our sales function, and lay the foundations for sustained growth in 2022 and beyond. We need the immediate support of an experienced, "Full-Stack" sales professional to:


  • Build – Co-create and implement the NM Sales function together with Growth Lead and Success Partners;
  • Own – Own the Next Matter Sales Pipeline incl. deal management, pipeline, reporting, AE and SDR coaching;
  • Strategize – Identify and test levers for sales traction, and accurately forecast on a weekly and monthly basis to help sales team meet and exceed targets;
  • Drive Growth – Actively generate pipeline and close new business on your way to building a scalable sales system;
  • Optimize – Develop and mature sales processes, investing in tactics that have proven to be successful, and iterating on opportunities for improvement;
  • Scale – Scale up the sales function and the team to meet new growth requirements for 2022 and beyond;


Requirements


  • A Track Record of Sales Success – Minimum 5 years experience in an Account Executive, Sales Lead, Director, or equivalent role in growth-stage or early scale-stage B2B SaaS; Experience with building and scaling the sales function and managing sales teams in a Series A or B stage company;
  • Customer Obsession – Willing to go above and beyond to sign new customers for Next Matter. Demonstrates grit, persistence and willingness to go the distance to get things done. Brings fresh growth ideas to the table, develops, plans and executes.
  • "Full-stack" Software Sales Toolkit – Knows what it takes to build a repeatable go-to-market motion and a scalable sales system. Experience generating and closing deals in scale-up/mid-market businesses (enterprise sales experience also a bonus);
  • Business Operations Acumen – Communicates in peer-to-peer level to establish trust with senior executive prospects. Speaks the language of operations leadership and is able to quickly understand various real-life business scenarios. Comfortable understanding technical challenges facing our customers and capable of presenting solutions.
  • Inspirational Leadership – Excited by our mission and inspires a following for it. Writes and speaks polished English. Lets others speak and seeks to understand their viewpoints first. Able to gracefully convince customers and colleagues to pursue a desired course of action.
  • Sales with Integrity – Able to gracefully and empathetically convince customers to pursue a desired course of action, and does not cut corners ethically.
